Here is the largest FB I have done to date... Two spreaders, one at the hook bend and the other up front in the usual position..build the back first with the shingling and then the middle with bucktail and flash and then the front with rooster shingling again.. topped at both ends with aqua green grizzly hackle ... really nice compression in the water.. and a good profile. I put it in my hand to give perspective,, a mack imitation for tuna. 5/0 Trey Combs big game hook

Striblue,
I need a dozen in blue and a dozen in green. Got a new 18 weight on the way to build. Those would work fine.
Do you have a tying menu I could follow.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris.. I can put it down in writing if you want . I am working on a photo layout since it is much easier that way than by describing in writing. Certainly by the time the season starts I will have something done.... The layout will be on another site.

That would be a great help to us simple minded tyers!!

An 18-weight? Dang, that's a freakin conventional Canal special! You should be able to hurl live three pound pogies with that when you're not fly fishing. That's one beefy rod!
18 weight , you could troll squid bars with that thing!

Chris..if you want I can e-mail you a photo layout.. I was just notified today that a popular Saltwater Flyfishing Magazine wants to do a layout of one or more of my flies.
