Conomo Special material

Been tying Conomo specials lately....using Icelandic sheep hair for the body.The recipe calls for Polar Bear,which I can't get.Next best choice is Baby(fine)Yak Hair.Anyone know where to get this?Anyone tie these with a synthetic substitute?

I just got a catalog from a company called English Angling Trappings. Pg. 45 has Yak Tail Hair "So close to polar bear hair it will scare you. We started it, everybody has it. In 8-10" lengths you can even tie the biggest saltwater fly patterns. White per bundle $3.50"

You can get Polar Bear from the Natick Outdoor Store.

Ask for Jim Kaye, other than the Bear's Den they are the only other shop I go to. Good People
