I hope you let him go so we can catch him at a later time....bigger and stronger, of course. :)
Very nice as usual, John.

Striblue,
What exactly are you using to when you refer to spreaders in you flies. I have a pretty good idea of the concept, but I am not familiar what you are using. The last two flies you have posted are beauties. The FB double decker tuna fly (a couple of posts back) looks like it would be death on striped marlin, large dolphin and also roosterfish. Thanks and tight loops.

When I refer to a spreader I am taqking about creating more inner body to support a larger fly or give the shape i want to a smaller fly... for eample the material; is either Corsair..EZ body or some ridgid mylar tubing... here is a picture of the striper during the tying where I have put on the back spreader... a front one would also go on..You tie it down where you want it by slipping it over the shank... than push the loose end back over where you tied to creat a type of "trumpet" shape..then tye that off. Well ,,,I will have to give a photo tonight from home...

That's kind of what I had in mind, but wasn't sure. I'm going to give it a go on some of my baitfish patterns. Thanks for the quick response. Once again, beautiful flies. AC.
