Sure.
And I resent being compared to the mythical "weakfish"!
:)
For I am "Strongfish"
Seriously, I'm easy. Going to try to get my license today, some tip ups, and advice. I have absolutely no experience with ice fishing other than some failed attempts as a kid.

Then you had better be prepared for a traditional Parsons initiation ceremony.
Bob- I'll bring the hot pokers if you bring the coals :D

Ok Dave since your new at this I'm willing to give up some of my hard earned advice.
1- take the chain saw and cut a 1 x 20 foot hole in the ice.
2- strip off 19' of your flyline
3-lay a cast right down the middle. (a good cast puts your fly in the water a foot short of the far end.
4- if fly lands on ice walk down to fly and throw it in the water.
5-you want to fish deep and slow Drifting is not recommended.
6-do not thumb pickeral/pike or muskies (it's a mistake you onlly make twice if your ambidextrous)
7-if your wearing ice creepers do not step on your line
8-fighting a fish on ice is different than from boat - you can not turn around to stay with fish -walk around the edge of hole.
9-if temperature is below freezer pour several beers into the hole- the alcohol will keep the hole from freezing and as a side bonus your fishing buddies will be less drunk and not ridiclule you as much.
10- do not cut a big circle around you thinking you can cast in any direction.:D :-%

I will be trying to ice fish the cape ponds for the 1st time ever also. I am planning on Hamblin Pond(left of boat launch, out off the corner) saturday at sunup. Sunday maybe Sheep pond or Scargo in Dennis. Haven't fished any except Hamblin a lil' with the spinner(nice brownies!!). I do have enough traps for 2. Not sure if I have anyone else yet. If anyone is in the area send me a PM and maybe we could hook up. Going to get bait & ice report at lunch today.
