Went fishing with RIBill and his son Kristian this afternoon in South County. I had a couple nice trout last weekend, but this weekend it was all RIBill and Son. Bill was top "rod" of the day with this nice rainbow (which he released) and son Kristian was top "numbers rod" with multiple yellow and white perch. Yours truly was skunked. I did leave with 2 fish tales of large fish that a) straightened the hook and b) spooled the tip-up. It was quite a bit colder than last weekend, but a splendid time was had by all.

P.S. Sam, note that camo was not needed this weekend because the ice was snow covered.

Shaun,

After sunset, when we were pulling the tilts for the day. Last fish of the day.

Paul,

Is Bill's face sun burned, wind burned or just his normal rosy complexion?

Nice rainbow by the way!

Jack,

Wind burn...Wind kept shifting during the day from SE to SW...couldn't stay on a windward shore unless we moved every ten minutes. We should have been wearing face masks like the lad did, but I hate covering up that much myself...

Paul,

Did Bill use the Mousey fly or the ice minnow deceiver and was he able to get it to turn over in the shifting winds?

Even the duckhunters are tucked away behind a mug and in front of a fire. You guys are the best!

No wonder our troops kicked butt in Afganistan. They all must have grown up "Ice Fishing!"
