It started about 7am on Lovells pond, There was a slight delay due to someone's 4 wheel drive not working. Our mission was to catch enough perch to fry up for lunch. So Shaun starts the day with a real nice PICKERAL. Ok we got a couple of decent perch and what is Shaun doing? Hauling in a nice bass and some more pickeral. My flags are dead which is ok if your the cook.
Eventually everyone got fish.
First the kitchen.

Started the day on a good note. The sunrise over the Canal on the Sagamore was beautifull. Canal kind of looked frozen with the reflection. Then everything went downhill. That guy with the 4wd problem was a real dope. Just after being dubbed "that guy" Bob's attack dog mauled me near a wet slushy spot in the ice and I went down and got soaked. Of course it was Kasha's fault and not my spider-like sense of balance. Fortunately that was the last of the mishaps. Sam aka Bass Candy aka Skunkmaster has now added yet another name aka Perch boy since he came up with most of lunch. The Charbuck clan (great to meet the weakfish on land and the family) aslo added some monster perch and a good size bass to the mix with simultaneous flags on more than one occaision (pic). A new species, Larus articilla, was added to the list with multiple hookups but that is a strictly Catch and release fishery. Keep an eye on the cook, the secret to Bob's soon to be famous Perch Mcfishwich is the substitution of perch filets with fried perch Roe when no one is looking.
Most action I have ever seen on a lake. I had a blast and hopefully we can all do it again...Thanks to everyone for bringing food, grills, bait, working 4wd, tow ropes, etc.

great pictures... gotta like the ice-kitchen. also, its one thing to bring 'basa or stew and warm it up, but its really "gettin it done" when you do a fish fry on the ice... I'm in awe... gotta try that one of these outings.
