Well the water temp has gone up 10 degrees, in the inlet 49. Towards the Cape it went up to 55. Small Birds picking on the water, albacore rt. under the fish. The striper bite was slow but it was the day of the albert. Beautiful day on the water, sun came out, fish were biting. Giant schools of shad slipped over the shoals on Sat. to the westside. Snagged a few dog sharks but that was it...Fished it w/ a # of boats, don't think anyone caught a striper? The Bluefin bite was slow, but the albacore were thick. A few had trouble keeping them off their horse ballyhoo's. Everyday is different. It's Monday morning and the weather is a bit raw, rain and some more rain. Having a problem uploading, should have some photos up later today.
Oh you could have whacked a albacore on the fly no problem today. They were staying on the surface for a long time.
DD
Heard the puppy drum bite was on in the marsh.
Looking for a nibble.
