The Pease Park boat ramp is a tired, aged ramp. It is a well-used ramp, mainly due to the fact that is located in a rather large harbor. It is extremely busy on weekends and holidays.

The benefits to this ramp are: it is located in a sheltered well-marked harbor; the working harbor is quite picturesque and makes a nice short cruise; it provides great access to Quick's Hole (~14 statute miles almost due South), and Buzzards Bay; and there are a ton of ameneties (fuel, ship supply stores, marinas, etc) in the general area.

The drawbacks are: there are two ramps, but hardly enough room to temporarily dock; the pier is in very poor condition; the pier is located in extremely shallow water and has only a foot or two of water during normal low tide; and again, the ramp is really busy.

In the Summer and Fall, the harbor is a great Bluefishing spot

Here are some other notes:

Parking: There are approximately 22 parking spaces here, but on weekends people are often parked on the street.

Fee. As with all boat ramps in Fairhaven (Nasketucket Bay @ Seaview Avenue and Hoppy's Landing @ Goulart Memorial Drive), there is a $5 per day fee for launching and parking. If you intend to use the ramps more than a couple of times, I believe you can get a sticker at the Town Hall for $30 annually.

Some other good news is that the Town, in conjunction with the state, plans to completely revamp this ramp and pier. The plans look real good, and I cannot wait to use it once it's completed. Construction is in the future, and to my knowledge, there is no actual planned start date.
