Mark Cahill- You so da man!!! The ramp in Fall River is in good shape. Ramp is free and there is plenty of free parking. A one foot high concrete wall borders each side of the ramp. If you have a buddy who doesn't want to get his feet wet this aids getting a boat into and out of the water. Anyone attempting to FIND the ramp for the first time should do some research, the Acrobat version will not get the job done.
Quicksilver is correct in stating the ramp is in good shape, free, parking is free but that 1 ft high cement wall with no dock to tie up to is a big problem. I believe this is why this ramp is used very little. If you go 3 miles up the Tauntan River to the Somerset ramp you might have better success accessing this area. The Somerset ramp is not free during the summer(I think it is $5 for non resisdents of Somerset) but it is a good ramp with a good dock. Just don't back your boat too deep at low tide or you will drop off the edge of the cement ramp. Prior to Memorial Day and after Labor Day you can almost consider this ramp "free". If no one is there to collect your money it is free. Also, most days after 5:00 PM there is no one there to "collect" your money. Almost everyone that puts in here ends up daown past the Fall River Ramp.
