I found this site. Lots of experienced people. I have been thinking of doing some touring in the off seasons and this site looks like a great resource.

I've been thinking of some touring but in season so I can sleep between drives and be closer during the best hours. I do want to do some yak camping, Norwalks is likely later in summer or early fall. A lot of my camping from little boats is better categorized as an assault rather than as touring. :D

Shaun, look into joining the Maine Island Trail Association, there's a lot available to members.

Joe, by off season I meant that one weekend in late march when the ice is gone and everyone in tying new leaders for schoolies to show... :D

Shaun
Thats better for a minute there I thought you were going to go out a bunch of times without the rods .
Anyway you could hit the Thames at that time .I did last year for some recon and caught 2 yak schoolies.Saw a whole bunch of buckies. It was nice nobody around except for a couple of kids fishing .I hooked them up with some sluggos and fin S fish(They were using nightcrawlers for the schoolies and having no luck). If you go let me know.Got a couple of nice spots to paddle to.I might even join you if I am not on the CT River.
