Taking The Plunge!!!

Last night I started to buy the required "stuff" for my adventure into kayak fishing.

I bought an Extrasport Retorglide Sabre PFD. I found it to be the most comfortable, and have all the features I wanted. It also happened to be the most expensive one REI had. But like I say about cycling, don't go cheap on your helmet (PFD)..it only has to work once to pay for itself.

I bought an Aquabond Seaquel 230cm paddle too. I have a couple cool leash ideas already.

Outfitted my Audi with a Yakima rack (ouch that hurt) too.

Now all I need is a kayak!!

I'll be in Tiverton Saturday afternoon at the Sakonnet Boathouse testing the WS Pungo 12 and 14, and the WS Pamlico 12 and 14.

It has come down to with or without a rudder and length. Of course the Pungo is about $180 less than the Pam.

Take the 180, and have an aftermarket rudder put on, or do it yourself...
