Please help me out boys and girls, i am going down to the bahamas, crooked island to be exact and i would like to know how to tie a simran bonefish fly. I heard they are pretty hot right now. I am new to the sport and would like any advantage over the boys i can get. Is there any other great flies you would suggest for me? Thanks alot and i appreatiate it very very much. Thanks!
Have a look here:

I am by no means an expert tier but this is how I do it. I have caught fish in Exuma, Abaco, Eleuthera, and the Keys (although not on my latest trip!) with this, it is my favorite fly.The Simram was developed by Orvis, this is my version after dissecting one of theirs. They bend their hook so the tail points more upward. I choose not to, just personal preference. I tie these in sizes 2, 4, and 6. Also the Chinese boar I use for antennae is my addition, strictly optional. Tie hook down.
Hook: saltwater size 2 4 6
Pink thread
bead chain eyes
pearl flashabou accent
tan craft fur
pearl mylar tubing medium
tan rabbit zonker strips
With pink thread tie in bead chain eyes 2/3 of the way down the hook shank. Wrap thread towards the bend to 1/4 way into the bend. For the tail tie in two pieces of rust colored Chinese boar. Tie in a clump of tan craft over this. Over this tie in some Pearl flashabou leaving enough material to wrap forward to the eyes.(my tail ends up being about as long as the hook Wrap the flashabou back to the eyes and tie off. Just in front of the eyes tie in a piece of pearl mylar tubing and fold out of the way. Tie in a piece of tan rabbit zonker strip. Wrap forward to the eye and tie off, leaving enough room to tie in a pink head like a gotcha. Pull the fur downward and tie off the mylar tubing at the end of the fur. I don't tie freshwater flies but someone told me this is similar to tying in a nymph casing. Wrap thread to form head and cement.
I will blend in pink/pearl flashabou if I want to change the color a little bit. Also I tie some with weed guards.
Like I said this is my interpretation but I hope this helps.
