Who knows a great fly guide in Boca Grande/Charlotte Harbor and/or Tampa areas? Suddenly have a chance to be there for a day or 2 in May.

Thanks.

Hmmm, great fly guide? Seems to be a vast area for interpertation there. I have fished with Capt. Allan Beraquit in Port Charlotte. Great attitude, very knowledgeable. You won't need to bring any gear, he has great stuff. He often posts here under the user name captallan. Check out his website.

Josh:

As mentioned before, it really depends on what you are looking to do.

Nevertheless, in the Tampa area Jim Klopfer (http://www.fishinginsarasota.com/) and Rick Grassett (http://www.snookfin-addict.com/) are both great guys. Various opportunities for specs, reds, snook, jacks, etc. Depending on the weather, there may be some tarpon on the beaches.

It may be more difficult to find a guide in Boca Grande that time of year.

Want to include my praise for Capt. Rick. I fished with him every year from 1995-2001 in Charlotte Harbor, Little Sarasota Bay, Big Sarasota Bay, and Snook Alley- Had great outings all times. Rick is a great guide- very energetic and knowledgeable- worth every penny.:D
