Saturday afternoon, at the Texas Fly Fishers annual auction, I was lucky enough to win a Wilderness "Ride". Now that I have no choice but to get into 'Yaking, I would like to hear from other Ride-ers, good or bad. I am looking forward to rigging this jewel out and hitting the middle Texas flats in search of redfish.
Not wanting to alienate anyone, I welcome the proud owners of other makes and models to chime in also. All information is accepted (photos also).

I bought a Ride angler last year. Sturdy boat. Kinda heavy. and very slow in the water especially with a 220 lb weight on it. I am kinda regretting not going with the tarpon but it came down to transporting it and I wanted to get out on the water asap. Enjoy your first tow at the expense of a red. great times

I have been using a Ride for a few years... I agree with all DaveK's comments...

My next is a Tarpon.... Maybe you can trade in your ride towards a Tarpon................

I really appreciate the input. I have had a good response, some bad, none terrible and some good. I'm not complaining, after all it only cost $10 (pre-rigging out). Until last Saturday, I was looking real hard at the Tarpon 120, and I'm still looking. When my better half see's how much fun I am having, I'm sure there will be another 'yak in the future. In and around the Rockport (TX) area are miles of grass flats loaded with shore and water birds. Since she is just getting into photography, it's almost certain that sooner will come before later.

The forecast for Saturday is a 40% chance of rain. Unless it's a downpour, I will be giving the "Queen of Diamonds" her first lesson in staking redfish.

Thanks again and .......
