Does anyone have experience with the Stearns Inc. line of inflatable kayaks?
They look great, but my only point of concern is that the angle of the bow seems to point down, rather than up - which seems like it might be difficult to cut through waves an chop.
check www.stearnsinc.com to see what I mean.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
Have to do the inflatable thing due to small boston apartment.
Thanks in advance....

But I don't think sharp hooks, fillet knives and the like will mix very well with inflatable kayaks...
I can hear that sickening hiss already...

How are you going to cut your Mackerel chunks?

ok, ok I hear you... but these are pretty serious inflatables, more like a zodiak rather than a pool toy.
The chambers are coated with a puncture resistant tarpaulin covering.
I'm not worried about traumatic deflation while offshore as much as I am that the downward angle of the nose would fill the thing with water in the chop, and was hoping to see if anyone had ever used one.
fair enough though... file this one in the "ask a silly question" file.
have fun, S.

I almost bought an inflatable kayak a year or two ago, it was on sale for some where around $60 in a beach shop that was going out of buisness. I was going for it cause it was cheap...I don't know about there durability though.
