Gartside flies

Some of the Gartside flies in the Veverka book, Innovative
Saltwater Flies, call for Corsair tubing. What is it and
where can I get it? Is it any different from EZ Body
tubing?

<FONT color=black face="Times New Roman,Times" size=2>linsay- Corsair is only available from Jack or Terminal Tackle. It is different from EZ Body which is polyester and therefore stiffer. Corsair is nylon and rolls easier for Jack's fishhead style of fly. rel</FONT>

I'm not quite sure that the corsair is only available where you mentioned--my local shop carries this material in 1/2 diameter...good stuff I tell ya.

A simple fly--basically just 4-5" of tubing tied on a 1/0 with a silver flashabou (sp?) tail and stick-on prismatic eyes--was the most successful fly I fished during mid-September on MV last season.

Chris Windram @www.saltwaterflies.com has it I just bought some for tying laser flies. Chris has a virtual fly shop, he is a knowlegable person, comercial fly tyer, and always helpful with tying questions.
