I've been emailing with Mark Sedotti for a while about getting something going, probably late June. How many people would be interested at $100 for 3-4 hours?
For those that don't know Mark, you can run a search on his name on this forum and you will find some great testimonials.
Let me know.
Assume we'll do it in the Boston area.

Mark
Are you thinking about a basic clinic, an advance one, a blend, or what? I would consider an advanced one.

I have an option For those who require a quick fix of fly casting, or don't want to put up $100 towards a day with Sedotti. Jake Jakespeare, the New England rep for Temple Fork Outfitter fly rods is a certified fly casting instructor. He will be putting on a "Texas Shootout" this Saturday and next. The following words are quoted from Jake. "The event is designed as a workshop for all. There are free flycasting lessons to start beginners with their own equipment or it can be purchased at the dealer who is sponsoring the event. There are "tuneups" for veteran casters as well as exchanges amoung the participants of ideas and topics new and old. The windup is a fun distance contest with a drawing for prizes for the casters who stay for the awards ceremony. There are over $300 worth of prizes, TFO fly rod, catch of the day shirt, sci angler flyline, and BW items. The idea is for each caster no matter their ability to come away from the event having learned something new, thus the numerous elements in the event and the new rod demos. This Saturday at Baymen Outfitters in Duxbury at 10am, and next Saturday at The Lower Forty in Worcester Preregistration is requested in person, phone, or email".

sounds like a great time. However, you probably will not get as much out of casting with multiple events taking place. Raffles, casting competitions, t-shirt giveaways, etc.. A sedotti casting clinic solely concentrates on casting and the hundred bucks is well spent. Believe me, Marc is top notch and the experience he brings can be very beneficial.

Mark,
Please add me to the 'interested parties' list! Like everyone, it depends on the exact date, but I think at this point that it sounds great!
Thanks.

Mark,
I'm in if the time works out. I have a wicked tailing loop I can't seem to shake off!
I saw Sedotti cast a fly that looked like a large, cheap wig about 120' at the Marlboro Show - with a 6 wt I think!!! It was impressive to say the least.
