Hit the Haba for one last shot at Cod before I switch over to the wand. With glowing reports coming from 3 1/2 Fathoms Ledge for weeks on end and an extremely calm marine forecast, I decided to give it a shot. Put in at Hull and made the 4 mile paddle to the ledge in no time. Sounder marked what I took to be both Herring and Striper half way down and most of the way out. Hit the ledge and jigged away without a bump. I decided early on to settle for a full season Cod skunk and did a little exploring in the harbor. Paddled to Graves and found a new friend in a tide pool, paddled back between the Brewsters and past Boston Light, then back to Hull. Trip totaled a little over 10 miles.... Stripers are in the Haba... let me at em :)

Beautifull!!!
Sam,
Don't think you can avoid the abuse of not catching anything by posting a pic of a cute seal.

Good pics Sam. I'm sure this has been covered before but do you have a waterproof camera, a w/p housing or are you just exceptionally quick on the draw? I suppose this little guy may be posing but seems you have the camera much more at the ready than I ever do.

Jim -
I actually rattled off about a dozen shots of that seat before I started getting shots I liked. It was sort of like shooting seals in a barrel... this guy had wound up in a large tide pool on the island and with the tide out he was cornered. After spazing out for a minute, he settled down and accepted my presence. In that shot, I was perched about 4' above him on a ledge.
As for the camera, I just keep it in my dry bag and dig it out whenever then conditions are right. I looked at all the camera housings available at a recent trade show and found them cumbersome. I'll wait for a waterproof point and shoot.
My little digicam was a hand-me-down from a friend so I invested in an appropraite housing. Double baggies. I thought the w/p bags were expensive as well as cumbersome.
