Fished off Chatham today, summed up in two words----

Million Bluefish

Everywhere.

Fly or spin.

To 38"s.

Never saw so many fish off any kind anywhere.

Any bass mixed in with those blues? Doggies in town yet? Blues made a mess out of Chatham last season, hope this doesn't mean another repeat.

fished this weekend. lots of bluefish. yes! - some stripers in the mix. didn't see any dogs (yet). saw millions of sand eels, and birds feasting on them... conditions seemed pefect but not many big fish. also saw a couple of whales (not sure what kind). strange this year.

Just Curious ...how far off shore. I couldn't find them in Rockport/Ipswich untill I went almost 4 miles offshore (which was about 100ft deep)

Fish were 8-10 miles offshore in 90ft of water, yes bigger bass were mixed in. Dogfish littered the bottom when we tried for some cod for the freeezer.
