Thanks to Josh and his friend Luyen who put me in touch with a great guide, the bonefishing is alive and well on Turks and Caicos.

The guide was fully booked by the time I arrived, but agreed to just drop me off in the early morning at a flat and pick me up four hours later for a very small sum of cash........just like I like it.....wading by my lonesome....very Zen especially in the early morning.

Had many shots on singles, doubles, and some small schools....Several tailing fish every morning as well. The fish averaged a true four to five pounds with the occasional bigger singles of six to ten pounds.

Fished the incoming flooding flats, where the fish were extremely aggressive.....and loved the "gotchas" which I tied years ago when on Andros. They were easy to see in the very skinny water once you got the hang of it. Landed my fill, and lost a bunch of them as well. Had action all morning. Very exciting presenting to big tailers........and when they want it, you can't take it away from them.

Lots of life on the flats, with many small pesky lemon sharks to deal with. Had a tug of war with one of them who had one of my bones by the tail and while I had it's head.......got him free......he was a bit shaken up, but was OK....

Thanks to this board and Josh and Luyen, my vacation was complete, and I was back at the hotel by eleven each morning...........Thanks guys......I owe you one......I'll repay you handsomely in the canyons this year.
