If anyone was wondering about the schoolie BFT situation, wonder no more. Very sparsely destributed and the fish are mostly small if you can find them. Reports and water conditions both held me back at the dock on Saturday, and felt no need to just burn fuel on Sunday.

For the past few years, the early schoolie BFT action has been slow.........and so has the fall action of late. Hopefully we'll see em this fall..........

The Canyons should steadily heat up during this month. Heard one report of a big blue marlin caught yesterday west of the Tails. So it should be starting up shortly..........Hopefully I'll go next weekend, weather permitting.....

I think the guy fishing from Marion Mass heads behind block, and he seemed to manage a few. Gotta be close, its just a question of who's spending gas money and searching. Probably doesn't get posted to this board as quickly as they are there.. thats probably a good thing... Would be a zoo maybe. We won't be going for two weeks now, and then we will be the adventureres if need be, but there should be something.. Cape seems to already have action, and it appears to be about ready to open up, off ptown too. have not been to short spot off chatham, have not talked to anybody.

Hey Sean,

I'm probably going to the canyon this coming weekend. Probably west of the Tails, and troll the Dip on the 100 fathom curve. The water is heating up a bit, and I would like to do at least a morning's troll for Marlin and yellows.......plus there have been a few Long Fins caught already, so there should be some yellows..........so it's probably going to open up any day now.....and not too many have ventured off......
