This is gunna be the year :)
A friend and I plan to be targeting School Bluefin Tuna heavily this year. Last night I tied up about a dozen Mushmouths from 1/O- 2/O in Black & White, Blue & White, Green & White and Pink and White. What else should I be tying? Do larger Bonito Bunnies work two? Any new patterns I haven't heard of?
Many thanks,
Sam

Sam, the little tuna were on peanuts so you should include some brown/pink/tan mushies as well. In addition, brownish enricos will aslo take them. I am working on a prototype that will go in history as the fly that slays the tuna (hehehe), will post soon. By the way, you gonna take the yak out there and go for a tow?

Sam this fly is supposed to be a killer when it comes to any type of speedster. I just hate working with this type of material but the flies look great in the water and I can see why the tuna's would like them. Here's a link to the fly:

Sam et al......
During the now famous SBFT run of last August, they wouldn't touch a mushy- just wouldn't happen. Nor would they hit the fly the guides liked (pink white circlehook decevier)
BUT what they did like was a short olive over white angel hair surf candy with small silver flash on sides.
It was the only thing they'd hit when they were on the peanuts (at least where we were...)
It was maddening to get on the school and not hook up w/ the "sure thing"s.
I won't leave home without it!
