View Full Version : Looking for Cheap 8-10 weight/reel/rod
Im looking for a good deal on a Saltwater 8 , 9 or 10 weight rod reel combo. Im only 14 to and don't have much spare cash (any donations are welcome :D ) Anyway I want something big I can use for the Bid redfish, kings, jacks and the other fish in the area. A life time warreenty would be nice but not requried (me being 14 I would probally go through a few rods/reels in my life time). Also one other question, I know many of the rods and reel have lifetime warrenty for the orginal buyer 1. How do the know who the orginal buyer is
2. If I had a nice seller couldn't I say I was him and get my new rod or reel?
Anyway I probaly wont find a combo i can afford but this is worth a try.

Temple Forks Series I 9-weight two-piece. $ 90. if you bust it, they replace it for $ 25.
You could certainly use the 10-weight for those bigger species, but that would be overkill for the smaller ones, and unless you are a very large 14-year old, I think you will like the 9 a lot better.

oHes 14 he probably can only invest under $200, go wiht temple forks and teton tioga. Look on ebay you can get the tioga for under 100 beg your parents as a birthday/christmas present it has always worked for me, and when christmas finally comes around they will feel bad if they don't get you anything. LOL
