Anyone have any experience with these new reels ?

The 4400 S's I use typically only give me 1-2 seasons then the graphite heads go. I'd like to stay w/ Penn.
How are these Slammer reels and are they worth the $119.00 ?

I purchased one last fall for plugging the NJ surf. It is a great reel for the money. Solid and smooth. It's a bit heavy and the the bail is a little tough to turn over while reeling. I just manually shut the bail after the cast.

Over all, I am very happy with the performance. I landed some pretty nice stripers with this reel and the drag was smooth. I like Penn reels. I have about 15 spinning reels, 12 are Penn.

Good luck shopping..

I bought two of the 360's after my Shimano Stradics kept dying after 4-6 months of use. The Slammers have held up much better for about the same cost although they don't seem quite as smooth.
