I am tying Page's Slim Jim. #1. Trying to put epoxy coat on at finish.Having trouble with void areas on body. #2 Can i coat with sally hanson instead of epoxy. #3 What can i thin Zpoxy
5 min with. #4 The raines form i'm using comes curled in the package , how can i remove the curl. bob

Use youre bodkin or long needle to push the epoxy where you want it to go, right into the fibers. If one coat is unmanageable use 2 with less epoxy.

The rainy's float foam that comes curled does not work well for the slim jim - you need to use the small straight sections that come 5 to a bag - different material also - takes the epxoy much better good luck

Thin epoxy with small amounts of either alcohol or acetone. Epoxy should be second-coated, either with longer setting type epoxy or other final finish. Hard-as-Nails is a great finish for epoxy, tho' it doesn't fill in gaps or pits like you want it to.

Try warming before you try thinning. Put the 2 bottles in hot water for 10 mintues and then mix. It flows much much easier when warm.....
