I'm looking to buy a surfcasting rig in addition to my fly rod setups. It will be used throughout the northeast for bass and blues. I am looking towards a custom rod, and am undecided about the reel (spinning). Anyone know of any sites or forums online that could help me out in deciding what gear to buy? I'm local to the NY/CT/Long Island area, so if there are any popular shops worth checking into, that info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
