LBI visit imfo

I will be staying for a week with a 14 ft boat on LBI close to Barnegat Light 08/17 - 08/23.
I mainly fly-fish and would like to try for cownose rays and weakfish.
Any information on cownose ray and weakfish haunts, local fly-fishing shops and other useful stuff for a keen outer Towner fly fisher is appreciated.

You can give Fisherman's headquarters a call or check out there website: http://www.fishermansheadquarters.com/. They are located on the right as soon as you get over the bridge. They usually have some good information as well as www.bruceandpatsbt.com. Both are good spots. As I only fish from the beach, I can't give you to much info about getting your boat in. Bruce and Pat's put us in the right place about a month ago for stripers. There are still some big stripers around and plenty of blues.

There is an area right behind Old Barney called Myers Hole. Stop by at Barnegate Light Bait & Tackle for more info and exact directions. There are some great areas to fly fish there for Weakies.
