Does anyone know a good online source for tying hooks?
For saltwater tying I have a stock of Mustad 34007 and its longer shank cousin the 34011. I am tying to find a good short shank type of hook for tying Sea Habits and the like.
But I can't seem to find any except the Gamagatsu. And I am not thrilled with paying the price. Anyone know a good place with a wide selection? Or any other alternative? I am open to suggestions.

Thanks,

Daiichi, Mustad Signature, Targus, Varivas (most likely the most expensive of the mentioned hooks) - no help on on-line sources; would have to do a search by name. Sorry.

Chris @ saltwaterflies.com is great to deal with.
Great selection of hooks a pretty fair prices.

I tie with Tiemco, Daiichi, Gamakatsu. Mustad Signiature hooks are also pretty good

If you still can't find what you're looking for at Chris' website, try www.feather-craft.com. They have quite a selection.

if you know which hook you want, type that into a search engine like google or yahoo, and you should be able to find a lot of places that have that hook. i just did it for the mustad c68ss, and i found a 25 pack for about $3.80 at one place, and about $11.00 at another place. it pays to shop before buying. good luck.
