Bauer is the best reel for the money in my opinion, although I only switched to the long rod a couple of years ago. They no longer make the M4 as I am sure you are aware. I had luck calling Bauer (888.484.4165) and asking them who they had recently shipped any remaining product to. They gave me a few locations that I called and found one right away. You can also do a search on google.com using "Bauer M4" and there are plenty of sites you can check out. Thanks, but I am trying to find a used one or someone selling the discontinued model. As I understand it, the M4 spool is equivalent to the M5 super light and is made from the same mold, just ported differently. Every M4 spool I found is almost as much as I paid for the reel this past winter. Don't really need yet another reel; hoping I could get a spool for around $100.

I believe you can get a new spool for between $100 - $120 bucks new if you look around. I found one for $90 in the titanium color.
