Alas, the fish may be leaving soon, however before they go i want to get in on some busting action. Would most fish typically coming south by-pass cape cod bay and head round the outer cape or make an appearance in the bay first. I'm interested as I'll be in Wellfleet at the end of the month. last years migration posts for the area seem kind of scattered, but I'd love to hear i could anticipate feeding fish on the ocean side at that time of year assuming the run holds off for a nother week or so -according to my old man "a real man fishes in the sea"-
At this time of year while waitng for the big run i reflect on the past season which i think brought the worst summer doldrums in years, also the lack of tunnies inshore is something to lament, but whats up with those bluefish, although they make action readily available, mostly, i cant help but think that their large numbers have at least something to do with the sporadic availability of the other species, however due to hard work, patience and no small measure of luck i have had my fill of striped bass this summer. if i get i more for the grill i'll be :D then:-%
