I was wondering if anyone out there has fished the mouth of the Narrow River. I need info on the best/easiest launch close to parking avoiding a difficult surf launch if possible. I have heard parking is available on either side of the Sprague Bridge not to mention Narragansett Beach. Conditions will be SE 10 to 15, waves 1 foot in the bay. Considering conditions would a beach lauch be preferable for a paddler with limited experience in difficult lauches? Also info on tidal currents, boat traffic and other safety considerations. I am planning on arriving tomorrow am as I heard the tunoids were busting there all day today. If anyone is interested I wouldn't mind having some company out there. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Regards,

Matt

Sprague Bridge- go down the dirt road on the side opposite of the ocean if you got a truck. If not just drag it down the grassy bank.

Thanks for the advice. What are the currents like to paddle against? And would a launch form Narragansett Beach be advisable if the currents are too swift? Is there a tidal window for the launch? My boat is a WS Manteo and it is a wide bodied boat with a triple chined hull - slower and not very manuverable in a current.

The river is fine in a yak. Going outside may get hairy. I've never done it. I would with a SOT maybe. All my experience is bay, ponds, rivers...
