Well, Garth (aka notime) dragged me out to Winthrop again Saturday night and we each scored keepers in the 34-36" range. Nice night...lil spooky.
Here he is showing off. I guess it has to be at least 40" before he smiles about it. :D
Garth enjoyed a good hour of surface blitz before I arrived. Hooking up on the flyrod as well. I arrived just at dusk...just as the bird action ended. I was just a wee envious.
Good time....Thanks for getting me out there Garth!
Good job.

I guess we posted at the same time.
It was a bit spooky. I nearly got pulled into a white water rip. I didn't realize the tide was pulling me toward the water until I tried to paddle away from it.
Greg brought radios which I highly recommend when night fishing. It allowed us to keep in touch and would have been very helpful if I got sucked out to the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

Glad to hear there are fish around in there...Were you guys out front or over by the DI rip (the sucking out to the ocean thing)? I am planning to get out some this week.

Nice report and great fish Garth. I'll be heading out at least one night this week too.

Way to go Garth!
I knew you would get into the thick of it sooner or later. Sounds like the migration is in full swing. I'll definately have to hook up with you soon to do some night fishing. How many big bass in total? When did the blitz begin and where?

Paul,
I only smile when fishing in RI;)
I'd say we landed 3-4 keeper bass between us. Not great, but not bad either. The blitz was around Deer Island and it was going before I arrived at the water (5:00 PM) and continued until sunset.
