Garmin Rhino... [Archive] - Reel-Time Forums

Is there any one out there in Reel Time Land that has a Garmin Rhino, or knows anyone that does? I am thinking about getting one to carry along in my Ride and was hoping to get some input before i drop 2 cows and a calf on the unit. Thanks for the scoop. AC

Don;t you need another person with the Rhino unit for it to be effective? The purpose is to be able to send maps and infor from one unit to another like a radio no? If thats the case it seems like alot of money for something that no one else has to share with... But I am probably completely wrong..

would be more for hunting than fishing. I have a fishing / hunting partner that is also thinking about getting one. I have a Garmin e-Map that I usually take with me, along with a hand held radio and my cell phone. Having the radio and a GPS, with all the bells and whistles, all in one unit could simplify things, and having access to 2 really completes the compliment.
