Launched from the CT River 10/6. Thick, Thick fog @ 6am. Pulled into the cove just west of the light to rig up and let the fog burn off. 8-10lb Blues all over the cove. Hit 2 before I decided to move. Found Albies on the ebb tide from Hatchets to Bartlettes and every where in between. Small skiddish pods ..... the ones that drive you insane. Ran a few pods down but they where very picky. Shot to Millstone were only the 3rd boat to arive around 8am. Put my buddy on the bow and put the boat right in the rocks just in time for a mini blitz. First cast he was in tight to his first Albie. Despite a brand new rod that broke while putting it into the rod holder ( Thank you Scott Rods ) he was all smiles.

Now it was my turn.... YEAH RIGHT! Threw to fish @ Millstone for 2 hours. Managed 1 big blue that bit me off at the boat. Spin guys where killing nice sized blues all morning. Shot to Fishers and The Race. Wind was 15knt+, 4-6's in the Race - not a chance. Went back to Hatchets and Black point. Had pods of fish every 5 -8 minutes. Alot of shots but most schools just out of reach. My moment of opportunity finally came..... 60ft off the bow...10-15 fish up birds diving, flawless cast into the wind.... strip .. srtip.. IM IN!! NO! Im off... strip strip... IM IN AGAIN!.. &*#&$%&(#)*%)#*@& Im off! Action slowed on the flood nary an Albie to be found. Headed back to find a 1/2 Mile long school of mixed sized blues that blitzed for 3 hrs. Not a boat around.. all to myself. Landed around 20 and went home once again Albieless.--124-3
