I know this short notice but I was curious if anybody has a suggestion for fishing the savannah area (this up-coming weekend)? I have contacted the shop called Oak Bluff Outfitters but haven't heard anything back from their contact.
Curious what there is to catch in the local area? Any albies to be had?
Thanks in Advance!

I think the guides at the Oak Bluff Outfitters are currently in Alaska. There are other guides, but I can't recall their names. Just enter an internet search for Fishing Savannah, GA and you should find something. Lots of redfish and stripers there this time of year. Maybe some jacks still around, but they've probably moved out.

Contact Scott Wagner. I've fished with him several times and have been successful each time. His contact info is:

Your best shots inshore are reds and trout at this time of the year. If you catch the tides right, you'll find the reds tailing in the grass. The shrimp are thick so the fish are very active.
Near shore, the bull reds are running. I'm not sure if Scott targets them or not.

Apache:
Scortoncreekkid here. I & my wife took a trip with Scott last December for river stripers, river trout, & reds on the flats. We had a great time with Scott. Striper fishing was a little slow so we went for the "REDS" and hooked up big time on the flats. Caught over 23 fish all over the slot limit, all were returned to the river a live & well. Scott pushed us around for almost 5 hours on that flat. This was are first time fishing in Savannah and Scott made it an enjoyable one. We are looking forward to "Hooking up" with him again this year. When we go down to see are son over the holidays. Tight lines from the KID.
