Barnstable Harbor

Has anyone fished barnstable harbor/sandy neck point lately ?
It was too cold fo fish am last fri/sat so i tried cotuit for sunset at loop beach (near sampsons island), lots of birds off of pomponesset, to far for my kayak. Nothing going on near my launch. Any confirmation what the distant fish were? (i didn't see one boat or fisherman anywhere.)

Lots of small fish spread from about halfway down Sandy neck to just east of Scorton Creek on Sunday. Nothing over 25 inches, but there were thousands of them and they were right up tight to the beach so we didn't have to deal with all that wind.

I might try it Fri if conditions look nice. After that, its full commitment to bow season. I was in the Rockies for all of October, but from what i've heard the fall blitz was not as hot as recent years, at least on the Cape. Is this the consensus here too? I'll post a report if I make it down. Sounds like a nice weekend is in the making, for now.
