Harkers Island Report?

Has anyone heard reports for the Harkers Island, Shackelton Island area? I will be traveling down on Thursday for the weekend and was hoping to get on some Albies! The water temp seems to still be warm and the albies are still here in south jersey so I wasn't sure what the report is down there.

Fished there Monday and the action was great, despite less than ideal conditions. Be ready, the albies are running big. Average size was 14 lbs. Water temp sank to the mid sixties over the weekend.

They had a big northeast blow over the last few days which I beleive cooled the water a bit. I am on the water Sat -Tues. See you on the water oneidog!

I know you will do better than I did! The only thing I caught was wind burn on my face with an occasional sand blasting coming off of Shakelford Banks. I could only get away for last Friday and Saturday and it was blowing hard from the NE. We splashed around the hook and the #2 and 4 bouys with no avail. Shot down to Beaufort and Atlantic beach but only saw a couple of fish. The highlight was getting busted off behind the Shrimp boats.

It sounds as if it busted open earlier this week when the wind died and the water temp dropped. I hope you caught it right!
