Crab Apple Gone Native

Here is a Crab Apple with a light brown fall tree leaf as a carapace and tree twigs as legs. The legs are covered with soft body which reinforces the legs. I can break the legs to creat more joint appearance... the fly will probably not last that long..but long enough to work..... and the best thing is that the material is FREE!

great looking fly and a fantastic idea for materials, several coats of softex may be also worth trying for added durability

striblue I could've used 1-2 of those last week. Crab flies are the only flies I don't know how to tie. Wish I could tie them like that. Those are the best I've ever seen!!!
