Ray,

When/where is the next CCA-MA monthly meeting? Is there one for each "chapter" (south shore, cape cod, central mass, etc)? Or is there a single one for all chapters.

If there are separate meetings for each chapter, then I would prefer to attend the meeting that typically has the most attendance.

Are the meetings open to the general public?

Is there a charge to attend?

What typically goes on at a CCA-MA meeting?

Thanks,
Mike Flaherty

Mike,

CCA-MASS is now being moved into one "state" chapter, as CCA is national organization. We are working on the 2004 schedule now. Meeting are for members and guests. If you are interested in joining please let me know.

Considering your position with MSBA, what is your interest in CCA?

Just want to see what I have been missing and perhaps take in a lecture on flyfishing or see other types of speakers/slide shows that I don't get to see elsewhere.

I like to look at things with an open mind and I try to get ideas from several different sources.

For example, sometimes I head to meetings held by the Plum Island Surfcasters' (great group btw) when their entertainment includes speakers that I am interested in. This winter, I plan on doing the same for the Mass Beach Buggy Assn, the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Assn, and perhaps the Cape Cod Salties.

I don't see where my position in another organization would make a difference. Does membership in another group preclude attending a CCA meeting?

When you say meetings are for "members and guests", I presume that means when a non member wishes to attend a CCA meeting then he/she needs to be invited by a current member. Is that true?
