Hello, I'm tying patterns for Costa Rica . I will be on the Pacific side southern most tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in mid Dec. The exact area is called Mal Pais. Looking for info on what bait fish is local to this area or common bait patterns and colors I should tie for Costa rica. I will be mostly fishing in the surf with an 8 weight.
The only tip I have so far is to tie bait patterns with yellow lateral lines..
So far this is all I have tied five 1/0 olive and white deceivers. I'm no Lefty Kreh at tying but I hope this fools something down there. These are my first attempt at deceivers any tying tips will be appreciated as well.
