I strongly recommend this book. A lot of single-species books can be tedious after the first few chapters, but this one has enough insights to satisfy even the most experienced albie fisherman while providing a ton of fundamentals for someome setting out for the first for the first time.
Tom Gilmore will be joining this forum in the next few weeks to answer questions and provide further insights.
So, grab a copy, read up, and get ready with some questions.

I think the book is great too.
Albie behavior is tough to learn and tougher to describe. The book does an incredible job of articulating things I have known to work, things I have trouble putting into words. It also gave me some new things to think about and to try last season.
(Tom - hope you liked the video I gave you a year ago. Sounds like you at least survived it.)

Tuna, thank you for your kind words about my book. I loved the vedio!! Fun stuff, is their a sequel in the works? The vedio is making the rounds of my local fly fishing club, the Coastal Flyrodders.
Thanks,
Tom
Tom, glad you liked the video. I am working on the 2003 footage, probably will be done before the Somerset show (where I will bring a few copies - that's where I usually give David Blinken his copy). 2003 footage not quite as good (fewer feed shots and a bit more spin fishing) but still kind of interesting. PM me an address to mail to (in case I don't bump into you at Somerset with an extra copy) and I'll include some prequel (2001 stuff) and mail one out by February.

Tuna, I'll forward you my address in case we don't hook up at the Fly Fishing Show in Somerset, NJ. I'll be doing a book signing and slide show at 4:30 on Saturday January 24, 2004. Hope to see you there!
