Barbuda trip cancelled - WHERE TO GO??

Hello All,

We recently discovered, much to our great displeasure that the hotel we were planning to honeymoon at in Barbuda (the Palmetto) has been sold and is closed for renovation during our trip.

Beyond the fact that we were never notified (separate topic), we're now looking into where else to go.

We are still planning on spending the last several days of our trip on Antigua, but are searching for somehwere to go the first 5 nights. Caveats?

- Reachable from Antigua via puddle jumper (Tortola, Anguilla and St Kitts seem to be the easiest options)

- DIY and/or guided flats fishing (preferably do-it-myself)

- seclusion (we realize any seclusion will not be on a par with what we would have in Barbuda, but still. We'll have plenty of time on Antigua for a little more civilization when we return)

Any ideas? Tortola sounds like the most attractive option right now.

I've been to Tortola five times and I might be able to help out there.
We've also been to Anguilla, St. Kitts, and Nevis. I'm pretty familiar with that part of the Caribbean.

I fished with Guide, James Pearman in Bermuda a number of years ago. He has a place he stays on Tortola and spoke of few but large bones there. His web page is below. I recomend contacting him for info.
