Can you see the navigation bar under the logo at the top of the page that says Reports, Features, Fly Tying, etc.

If I did it right, you should not be seeing that.

Also, if you had speed issues before, have they improved?

Mark: I can see the Nav bar under the Logo just fine running IE 5.2.2 on OS X 10.2.8 on a Dual G4. It also shows fine on my G3 at home running the same OS and software.

The problem I am having is the php scripts from the ad server load extremely slowly. It's a real PITA to look at a blank screen for 15-20 seconds waiting for an ad to load. Maybe you can time it differently so the rest of the page loads first, then the ad server loads on after the page opens. Just a thought. The new site is great, except for the issue above.

Once I can figure out my browser detection script, I can change strip that out for the Mac. But I'm having trouble finding the info I need. Soon though.

Here's where it hangs up for me:

sending request for /phpadsnew/adpopup.php

which includes a MAC fix. I think the banner ad is still a problem and I will try to figure out the code to remove it.

does the speed issue still exist?

Mark: It loads quicker on the pages that don't have the ads (or the R-T logo) but it still sends the request even though there's no banner ad and that is still seems slow. The pages that still have the banner ads and R-T logo are still extremely slow to get past the ad server request.

Let me know. If you are a MAC user you should no longer see any banner ads or a navigation bar under our logo. I will add in some navigation later if this works.

Mark: it's fast as can be now that the ads and banners are gone. Nice job!

The page is clean and looks great. Speed is not an issue. Everything opens quickly on this Mac.

No, I can't see it. You must have done it correct. Speed has never been a problem.

thanks for the hard work,
