Mr. Ralph Roth will be our guest speaker at the January 13th General Membership Meeting. Ralph is a life long saltwater fishing enthusiast. He has fished extensively on party, charter, private and his own boat through out New Jersey for every species available along our coast. But one of his favorite and most successful targets has been bottom fishing for Blackfish, Seabass and Porgies.
Just as the bottom fishing season is in full force we have persuaded him to give us a lesson in the art of catching these great fish. He has spent many hours searching and finding great bottom fishing locations. He will include some of these locations along with some great New Jersey & New York Artificial Reef information. His talk will include tackle, techniques, locations, baits, seasons, tides and currents you will need to catch these fish in our area. Please join us at our monthly meeting and kick off this 2004 fishing season by learning and refining some of your fishing techniques. The New Jersey Chapter of the Hudson River Fishermen's Association will be holding it's January 13th meeting at 745 PM at the Ridgefield Park Elk's Lodge in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
That's at 745 PM on January 13th, 2004 at the Ridgefield Park Elk's Lodge in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Located at the corner of Spruce and Cedars Streets. Everyone is welcome. Non members are requested to give a $2.00 donation. However, a one time free pass, directions and more information on the HRFA can also be obtained through www.HRFANJ.org All HRFA general meetings are on the second Tuesday of every month.
