I remember a few trips several years ago that I took with my father and brother to fish the Salton Sea. How I wish now that I had my saltwater fly gear to give it a go. We boated within about one hundred yards from shore and latched onto some boat-tugging corvina. They were sure fun to catch. The local marina was loaded with tilapia that ravaged the small baitfish each night. They could have been great sport on the fly. I have not seen much discussion about the sea. Fish it and report the results. I'd love to see more. Actually, I would love to go, but I am a long commute away - RI.
