Going on a sailing vacation in a few weeks around the BVI -- Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, etc. Not sure how much time I will have to fly fish as its mostly sail, drop anchor, party, etc. I saw one post a few weeks ago re Virgin Gorda and also did a search and found some posts going back a few years. Can anyone add anything else as to fishing opportunities?
My basic question: I'm trying to figure out how worth it it is to bring a rod at all. And whether its worth shelling out bucks for a multi piece travel rod for the trip. I have never bonefished and will not have the chance to hire a guide. I suspect any fishing opportunities will be an hour or two here and there.
