I fished friday afternoon and saturday am. Nothing on the large shiners, but plenty of perch action on the jig--about 20 each day. It appears that they did a little too good of a job of eradicating the weeds here. Normally weedy areas were barren, so the fish seem to be more scattered. Best perch bite was in 11' of water. Best bass bite was no where to be found!
Returned monday with just the jig stick for a couple hours of jigging before sunset. Steady bite, but I had to move around a lot until I located fish in 14' of water. Mix of perch, sunfish and crappies--about 40 fish in all. A wide open bite just before sunset. I should have brought the bait as well as the fish seemed to be a lot more active.
