Was wondering if any of the Cape people knew if there was ice on Gull and or if it was safe?

hahahahaha they are talking about ice in the canal, and the sound too frozen to run ferries to Nantucket and there is a question of freshwater ice. The real problem is how long will it take you to chip through it with a hand spud or a hand auger.

Big Cliff would be a nice one to hit too, as it usually doesn't have safe ice for very long (although this year may be the exception). Good brown trout fishing through the ice when you can get out there.
Anyone know if they've stocked the broodstock salmon anywhere yet this month? Last time I checked, the state was waiting out the deep freeze conditions. At this rate, we may be talking April  .

I don't know about ther cape, but Forest Lake in Methuen aparently got a hit 2 weeks ago. Saw somewhere that the day after, a few guys had fish all day, around 10, 6lbers, all released but 2. Said they saw around 20 fish landed out of the 40 put in all day. This was two weekends ago so I am sure by now they are gone...
