For fishing the Surf what wader combo works for you?
Boot foot (felt vs. Lug) or Stocking foot?
I use to own a pair of the Orvis "Nauset" waders which had a neopreme boot which felt like a slipper. I loved those things: they were light, easy to walk in, could walk for miles and gunk didn't stick to the bottom of the boot.
I have since moved onto the Redington Breathable Saltwater Boot Foot Wader (they were around $300). It was hyped as having a fancy bootfoot for the Surf but I just don't like them...They feel like you're walking with leg weights.
Now I'm thinking about a Stocking foot with a Neoprene boot. Have any of you guys tried it (Ray, I thought you were doing something like that at Monomoy)...any way if you guys have any thoughts about a good light weight set-up -- I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks.
