This is the sign up list for the CLOUSER Swap. As per all your requests!! Run by me.
Remember clousers are more of a tyle of fly, so bunny clousers, half and halfs, anythhig like that goes!
Due date will be March 15 to keep consistent with the swap dates from the last few months. When completed please PM me for mailing information. FAQ thread applies.

If you can, take pic’s of your flies in various stages of production and upload them into the pattern library, we could use a few different clouser color chemes!

Also, no pressure, but if you like, throw in an extra for a “swap fly giveaway” like we did with the hardtail flies.

Keep in mind there will be several swaps this month, so if you enter a few please watch the due dates, they can be a lot of work!

So….get to tying!!:)

Ruge13 - Tan/white half and half
FishCT - Yellow/white
Notime - Olive/white
Bob Parsons - chartreuse/chartreuse
gcw - Bunny clouser
Flyfreak - lav/grey
Kennebunkangler - small

Ok I'll jump in. How difficult can it be to make a clouser?

Hrmm I could do golden over white but the dog hair tends to foul easily.
or grey over white, wait I'm losing enough hair as is, best to keep it

Ok chartreuse over chartreuse for those murky water situations.

Also I make the thread stick until the slots are full.

Any objection to a newbie joining in this swap? Would chartruse and white be too much of a newbie cliche?

You are all in, no newby blocks on RT!! You can never have too many chart/white anything. Also cool to see how different people tie with different styles, no matter how simple the fly.

Happy to provide the group with a fine West Coast Squirrel Tail Clouser.

A highly favored Pacific surf pattern you will enjoy having.

All will be there for you Shaun, prior to the March 15th due date.

What in heck is a "kinky, seaweed Clouser?" Kinky and Clouser I understand, but seaweed? Green, brown, olive? Pictures please!

Seawead kinky= Kinky fiber used for for the body materials. Seaweed is the color. It's a vibrant green with a few strands of black here and there. Very nice stuff...almost chartreuse, but not as unnatural and electric looking....I would send a pic, but I mean, well....it's a clouser and we all know what that looks like I hope. Green is green and kinky fiber is kinky fiber....so put that on a clouser in your head with a little crystal flash and VOILA! Kinky seaweed clouser.
